BEWARE!! I was a multi year subscriber of Anonymizer Universal (paid 79.99 the first year and continued for multi years at 29.99/yr). Then I had a computer crash and decided it was time to upgrade. It took 2 weeks to get my new computer and almost another 2 weeks to re-install all of my programs. When I re-installed Anonymizer U it informed me that my subscription had expired in the last couple of weeks. I contacted Anonymizer and explained to them what had happened and told them I wanted to continue my subscription. Guess what? They proceeded to tell me "no way" and that I would have to start over as a new customer and pay the initial year price of 79.99 all over again. Do you even believe that a software company would TOTALLY ignore an unusual situation with a long term customer and treat them like they have never even spent one red cent, much less ongoing for multi years???? My advice to you is to steer away from any software company that is a heartless money hungry outfit and has absolutey no feeling for their long term customers nor human beings in general!! Since this happened I have found an incredible amount of complaints online about their total lack of customer support. I wish that I had found this out much sooner. I highly recommend going with a company like GhostSurf (who I have switched to). They care about their customers and treat them as human beings.
